I had the pleasure of working at DDB both before and after it joined with Adam and Eve. I’m a big fan of the agency, and the work of its creative directors Ben Tollett and Emer Stamp really informed what I wanted to do as copywriter.
This concept was used by John Lewis for both its A/W and S/S fashion campaigns. The line (not really legible on my repro) is ‘Autumn. Now in.’
This was our attempt to do a Save the Children ad, without showing the cliche photo.
This was a tactical ad for VW.
Key detail …
We did this to emphasise the craft that goes into Tropicana. These were newspaper ads, but they also put them on the cartons, for a couple of years actually.
